We stayed at Katie’s cabin for a full week and had the most incredible experience. One of the highlights was having bears come right up to the front door—such a unique and unforgettable mountain moment! I personally maintain Airbnb properties, so I pay close attention to the details, and I can confidently say Katie’s cabin is truly top tier. Everything was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up for guests. You can tell a lot of care and pride goes into this space. The cabin was comfortable, well-stocked, and exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Communication was great, and everything exceeded expectations. So much to so for kids as well! Can not say enough about this cabin!!!! Highly recommend—would absolutely stay here again!

Katie’s place was absolutely beautiful and instantly made us feel at home. We had an issue with our original cabin (a different owner) and needed to switch, and Katie was incredibly flexible when I reached out. She responded quickly, and we were able to check into her cabin within two hours. The space looked exactly like the photos, clean, cozy, and peaceful. Every time I contacted her, she was positive and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. We even got to see three bears from a safe distance right off the back porch, which was such a bucket‑list moment for me. Overall, it was an amazing stay, and I’d definitely book with Katie again.

We had an amazing stay at Katie’s cabin! From the moment we arrived, everything was clean, welcoming, and exactly as described. The location was perfect—peaceful and relaxing, yet still close to everything we wanted to do in the area. The cabin itself was beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of space for our family. You can really tell Katie takes pride in making sure her guests are comfortable. Katie was also a wonderful host—very responsive, kind, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area. We would love to come back again!

Truly a hidden Gatlinburg gem and one of the best Airbnb experiences we have ever had. Everything was exactly as described - we all loved the hot tub and the gaming table, especially. We plan to return next year!

Place was really nice and only 5 minutes from downtown gatlinburg. Host are really nice poeple and very easy to communicate with. We had a great stay at this home and would 100% come back.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was very nice- exactly as described. Between the hot tub, movie theater, and games we stayed active and busy when we weren’t in Gatlinburg. When bad weather threatened our departure, the hosts were flexible and accommodating! Luckily, the city or neighborhood had snow plows and salt so we easily got out down the mountain even after a snow fall. We enjoyed Gatlinburg in the winter… lots to do in this cute town! It was our first time to this area, but we would definitely come back and stay here!

Our family had a wonderful time! We booked this beautiful home on a last minute decision to come to Gatlinburg for spring break getaway. It did not disappoint! When we weren’t out exploring, we took full advantage of the game room. Our four kids (and us parents as well!) had a blast competing with each other in all the games. We also enjoyed a movie in the theater room which was such a fun experience! The hot tub was a great amenity as well. The home was clean and exactly as described. The home was beautifully decorated. It was a wonderful place to come back to after exploring and hiking all day. We hope to be back again soon!

This is a beautiful house ! Still in the mountains but close enough to the town to enjoy all the amenities gatlinburg has . We had an awesome time and everyone was provided including a play pen ! The host defiantly thinks of everything their guest would possibly need ! Thankyou for allowing us to stay it was a beautiful experience!

We had a great stay at Esther’s home on the mountain! The house had plenty of space for the four of us to spread out. I spent most of my time on the back porch enjoying the bird songs, while my teens stayed in the comfy beds, or enjoyed the hot tub. We had some minor tech issues while there, but Esther took care of them as quickly as possible. While the house is very clean, it is a bit run down in places, and could probably use a little refreshing. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!

This booking was well worth every penny. The house was clean, cozy, and it was the perfect weekend getaway spot. Close to town yet private. The movie room and game area were such a hit with our group. Everything was perfect! Host was very responsive and super helpful!

We had a great stay and I would highly recommend this home. It was welcoming, comfortable and very clean. The kids loved the basement game room and bunk bed setup. Beds were very comfortable as was all the furniture. We loved sitting out on the porch in the rocking chairs each morning while drinking our coffee. Bears were active right across the street from us. My family really enjoyed our stay. We were hoping to see a bear on this trip and oh boy did we. There were at least 2 bears outside the cabin each day, one even got inside our truck while we were unloading. It did not damage anything just wanted the food we had not unloaded yet. Listen to the warning that bears are very active this time of year. I do recommend having bear spray. We had so much fun watching the bears each day. The house was clean and exactly as described.

We enjoyed our stay at Esther’s place. Check-in was easy, a/c worked great, very close proximity to the main st in Gatlinburg which has tons of shops, restaurants, Anakeesta, Ober, and many other museums and attractions. Short drive to Pigeon Forge as well. The kids loved the downstairs and game room.

The cabin was perfect. Although we had a couple rainy days while on vacation the game room and hot tub kept us occupied as well as the kids.

We had such a great stay! The peaceful setting was exactly what we were hoping for. I loved sipping my morning coffee on the beautiful back deck while spotting local wildlife, including bears and owls! The beds were super comfortable, and the fun extras like the air hockey/pool table combo and the movie room were perfect for those rainy afternoons. The hosts were super friendly and responsive and made sure we felt right at home. I definitely recommend this place!

The family had a very enjoyable week, very close to downtown and easy to get too. Unit was very clean. Grand kids really enjoyed the downstairs amenities, kept them busy for hours. We enjoyed the back covered porch. A Plus all around.

We had a wonderful time! The house was perfect for all the adults & for our little kids! There was a lot of Bear activity, which was great to see from a distance. They did come right up to the door and tried to get into our cars. We followed Esters instructions and locked our car doors and kept the windows & doors locked to the cabin. This cabin was very close to town and accommodated our entire family of 9. It was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay.

The house is beautiful and conveniently located. The game room was perfect for the kids. We also had many bear sightings- which was exciting. We reached out to the host during our stay and she responded very quickly! Overall, great experience and would book again.

Beautiful and clean cabin. Host was very responsive. Had everything we needed for a wonderful, relaxing vacation. Beware of bears though. Follow all instructions. We had one visit one of our vehicles midday trying to find food. Will definitely consider this cabin again in the future.

Great place to get away with the family

We stayed with our 2 year old for a week, and enjoyed every minute of it. There was so much to do in the area we actually stayed in the air bnb less than we thought we would, as it was so convenient getting to downtown and Pigeon Forge. The hot tub was pristine, and we even saw a bear while sitting out there! They were very docile and don’t bother you if you don’t bother them. The kitchen area was great for cooking while my son played in the living room. There is a built in baby gate that rolls back on the stairs in case that’s a concern for you. We used the cinema on the last day and wished we had used it more. Roads were a bit steep for people used to flat areas but easily driveable. Overall, a lovely stay! Thank you!

Great stay and location.

Great cabin with plenty of room for two families! Had plenty of bear sightings and even one that got into a vehicle (twice!). Be sure to lock your doors! Great location to everything downtown, clean spaces and all the things you’ll need to have a good time. Only complaint is the bathroom on the main bedroom upstairs is quite small and the shower was a bit small for my husband to manage. Other than that, it’s a perfect mountain getaway!

Waking up to the fresh mountain air and peaceful views was a highlight of our trip. The cabin had everything we needed and felt like a perfect home away from home. This was the greatest experience I had in a long time, everything was perfect. There were extra blankets in every room and so many games to play. The host was very responsive, and we found it fun when we couldn’t find the WiFi router it was like playing an escape game. Everything worked and the view from very window and balcony was breathtaking. The only downside we wish the projected for the theater was more clear and brighter.

We simply cannot recommend Katie’s place enough. This was our 7th year coming to Gatlinburg and by far our favorite place that we’ve ever stayed! The space is perfect for kids/families. Our group had 2 families with a total of 4 adults and 5 kids and we had plenty of room. The cabin has everything you need to cook in, but is also super close to a lot of great restaurants. We like feeling as though we are away from town, yet can be there in just a couple of minutes. Katie is a fantastic host and is quick to respond to messages. We would definitely book this cabin again!

We had a fantastic stay at this cabin! The house was spotless and had everything our family needed to feel comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better – just a quick drive to downtown Gatlinburg, but tucked away enough to feel peaceful. The hosts were amazing and clearly care a lot about the property and their guests. They were quick to respond and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Also, definitely try Ski Mountain Pizza nearby – it was a hit with the whole family. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great time during our stay. From before the date of arrival, to the very end, Katie was there to help us. She provided us with a guidebook with all the information we could possibly need, which was very helpful. Her response time was very fast, If I had any questions. The air bnb was very nice, clean, and accurately represented from the photos posted online. Overall, I would highly recommend, and would definitely come back.

Gorgeous cabin, loaded with amenities, close to EVERYTHING!! We couldn’t have stayed at a more perfect place. Tons of room, could have easily fit 3 separate families. So many activities to keep the kids entertained from coloring books, legos, books, magnatiles, even baby/toddler toys (perfect for my 1.5 y/o), arcade games, ping pong, pool table, air hockey, movie theater the list goes on! Wish we had more time just to enjoy all that the cabin had to offer! Also super close to GSM National Park entrance (<10 min drive) and only a 4 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg and all the restaurants/activities!! Literally Ideal Location! Host has an app with local map guide and recommendations for food/activities… we took some of their recommendations and The Peddler Steakhouse was one of our favorites. The Filet medallions with mushroom cream sauce was amazing and they have a great salad bar! We also really enjoyed Anakeesta and Ober Mountain. Don’t hesitate, book this place before it’s gone!

We had a wonderful time! The house was amazing! You have the best of any choices in life - you had peaceful nature, perfect set up for a baby/toddler/child with awesome books and activities, you have the crazy fun video games, awesome game times with pool, air hockey or ping pong!! Love the home, we could see the bears up close and personal! Plenty of room and choices whether to be bored or not! Everything was just great!

This cabin was our top choice for our daughter's birthday getaway and it did not disappoint, offering a spotless and welcoming environment. We appreciated the generous supply of towels, and hot tub towels. The Cabin in the Woods catered perfectly to children aged 12-15 with its wide range of entertainment options, rendering phones superfluous. Meanwhile, the adults had a fantastic time too.
